RECORD BREAKING NEWS
Over 142 luminaire lumens per circuit watt!
Our latest LED luminaires have been independently tested at Light Laboratories and have achieved over 142 luminaire lumens per watt.
This winning combination of world class LEDs, high light transmission diffusers and optical reflectors have resulted in a luminaire with exceptional performance.
The first of its kind, the 142.6 LL/CW performance is truly exceptional and efficiencies have increased to unprecedented levels. When compared to traditional fluorescent lamps types they can substantially reduce energy consumption and have a capital expenditure payback of less than 12 months!
Please visit our new website. Once you have registered, you will receive your personal login details, enabling you to access product information, LED energy saving presentations and technical resources.
Product data sheets, installation instructions, LDT files, LED performance guides and O&M manuals are currently being uploaded onto the website and new BIM files will be made available in the coming months.
T50 GRID - NOW STOCKED!
Due to high demand, the T50 grid system is now available from stock.
Our ACS-T50 ceiling grid has been developed to meet exacting requirements of the cleanroom industry and is well suited to semi-conductor, aerospace, optical and high technology applications.
A complete range of cleanroom luminaires, FFUs and terminal hoods are available to suit this grid system.
CASE STUDY: JMFC LIGHTING REFURBISHMENT PROJECT
Having previously delivered a complete ceiling system together with lighting and filtration units for a new build cleanroom project, Astra was the first point of call when JMFC decided to upgrade the lighting in an existing cleanroom.
The existing luminaires had deteriorated considerably with age and running costs were high due to the inefficient lamps used within the fittings. After looking at several options including replacement luminaires or replacement LED tubes they finally decided the best option was to refurbish the existing luminaires as the existing casing were of a good quality and this worked well with the company policy for sustainability.
Astra produced custom designed replacement LED gear trays that were a combination of the latest available technology including high efficiency LEDs, white optic reflectors and new diffusers to improve the appearance and maximise lighting efficiencies. The results were really outstanding – over 140 luminaire lumens per circuit watt!
The LED replacement gear trays resulted in an energy saving of £17,766 per year, which amounts to a saving of £88,829 over 5 years. Due to the processes and production work carried out within these clean areas the client decided to increase the existing lighting levels from 500 lux to 700 lux and this was easily achieved whilst still substantially reducing the energy consumption.
CASE STUDY: SAIDAL NEW BUILD CLEAN ROOM
Astra was selected to provide specialist cleanroom lighting to the new SAIDAL pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Algeria.
Working closely with the consultant, cleanroom construction contractor and the ceiling panel manufacture, Astra delivered almost 1,000 luminaires from our EVEREST range to this prestigious project.
The EVEREST range of luminaires has been specifically developed for large export projects, engineered to provide excellent value together with plug & play wiring connections to simplify the electrical installation on site.
Designed to integrate seamlessly into composite panel ceilings, the luminaires can be pre-installed into the ceiling panels to reduce the need for work at heights and accelerate the construction process.
